FAQs
helpful hints!
How do I book a class?
It’s easy! Check out our programme schedule here, then book here.
What should I bring?
Wear light comfortable clothing and enclosed shoes, and bring a water bottle, towel and any medication you may require. For training outdoors, a cap and sunscreen are a good idea too.
It's my first class what should I do?
Sessions cater for all fitness levels and can be modified to accommodate injuries and abilities. It’s a good idea to arrive 5-10 minutes early so you can introduce yourself. Then just train at your own pace and have fun!
Intensity/Impact Key
Intensity: How vigorous the class is.
Impact: The force or shock your body may experience.
Duration: The length of time of the class
What happens if it is raining?
We generally train rain or shine. If conditions are unsafe, we will shift the training to a nearby undercover location. This is to the discretion of the trainer.
Do I need to be fit to start training?
No! Classes consider all fitness levels with options for novices or those getting back into exercise, as well as options for those ready to take themselves to the next level in their fitness journey. The most important thing is to just give it a go!
Is there a lot of running involved?
Generally, no, as there are many alternatives to raising your heart rate. But when there is running involved, the group keeps you motivated!
Can I train if I am pregnant?
It is not recommended to start a NEW exercise regime when pregnant, but if you have been training or exercising regularly prior to falling pregnant there is no reason why you can’t continue – PROVIDED you follow the advice of your health care professional and listen to your body. Your trainer would be happy to discuss suitable training options with you.
What is the payment, refund and cancellation policy?
All group and personal training sessions are paid for prior to the start of the session. This is made simple through our online secure booking and payment system. The booking system allows for up to 12 hours to cancel or reschedule your booking, for group classes only. A minimum notice of 24 hours is required to reschedule a 1-on-1 or buddy training session. In this case please contact the personal trainer directly. Failure to cancel via the scheduler or the trainer within the required timeframe will result in the full fee being charged or deducted from your package. Purchases are non-transferable and non-refundable.
What is your privacy policy?
The security and privacy of your information is taken seriously by Strive for Fitness and its affiliated booking system at Acuity Scheduling. There is no marketing or information sharing of personal information.
Are online payments secure?
Absolutely! Stripe is certified to PCI Service Provider Level 1, the most stringent level of certification available in the payments industry. All card numbers are encrypted on disk with AES-256. Stripe’s infrastructure for storing, decrypting, and transmitting card numbers runs in separate hosting infrastructure, and doesn’t share any credentials with Stripe’s primary services (API, website, etc.). More information here. If you are still unsure, payments can be made through EFT. Please email details of transfer to [email protected].
How much does it cost?
Group fitness sessions can range from less than $15 to $20 depending on the option you choose. The more frequently you train the cheaper the individual class price becomes. You are also rewarded for your commitment as frequent training will help you reach your fitness goals faster! Personal training can range from $30 to $75 per hour session depending on the package you purchase.
